FMDownload version 1.1

This script has been completely re-written, it now has a new method of storing information about files.

Features

• Icons for common filetypes (only zip, rar and exe at the moment)
• Search facility
• Top 10 downloads in order of how many times they've been downloaded
• Download counter
• Skinable
• Shows the date the file was added
• Allow HTML tags in the description of a file
• Automatically works out the filesize
• Easy to use and install

Installation

1. Edit vars.php to change the password (in the Admin folder)
2. Upload all of the files, maintaining the directory structure.
3. That's it.

NOTE: For Linux or Unix users, set the files directory so it can be written to.

Adding files

1. Upload the file anywhere on your site
2. Go to addfile.php and fill in the form, when filling in the Filename field do not use http:// it won't work, only filenames in this format will work (/file.ext , ../../files/dir/file.ext , ../long/path/to/the/files/file.ext)
3. Check the output for errors.
4. Done

Removing files

1. Go to the /files directory and delete *file's title*.txt
2. Open list.txt and find the file's title and delete it and the next |%|

Editing the skin

1. Open the file skin.php and change the colours to what you want them to be.
2. Change any pictures in the Skins folder

Known Bugs

• There is one, it's a problem with Internet Explorer, if a download has been added, and it doesn't appear in the table, press refresh, this is because Internet Explorer caches webpages, I am currently working of a way to either automatically refresh the page when loaded (only once) or prevent Internet explorer caching the page.
